Dues are due at the start of each new term; each term starts on July 1 of a given year.

Each "ticket" constitutes a membership registration for the year.  Information about the Network of Bar Leaders' events will be emailed on a regular basis to our members.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS: Eligible representatives will include the President, the Vice-Presidents or President-Elect and the immediate Past President of all qualified member organizations, that have accepted the rights and obligations of participation in the Network, for so long as such acceptance continues in effect. The President of any qualified member organization may, in writing, designate a representative who, in the absence of an otherwise eligible representative, is authorized to act on behalf of such association for specified meetings.

During the registration process, please asterisk * the names of any individuals whose names and contact information should NOT be published by the Network of Bar Leaders.  All individuals identified in our registration form will be added to our email distribution list.

The Network of Bar Leaders is a coalition of 50 member bar associations dedicated to bringing together the leadership of the diverse bar associations of the greater New York Metropolitan area. Formed over 25 years ago, Network provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas and serves as a vehicle for joint action on issues of mutual concern and pending legislation. The Network of Bar Leaders is the legal community’s most diverse institution. It includes each of the five county bar associations, numerous citywide and statewide specialty groups, specialty bar associations dedicated to every field of practice, as well as ethnic and religious bar associations. Because of its great diversity, the organization is often called upon to express a consensus opinion on behalf of the organized bars in matters affecting the legal community as a whole.

The Mission of the Network

The purposes of the Network are to promote the objectives and purposes of the respective member bar associations and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas of mutual interest to Metropolitan Bar Associations; to develop a cordial relationship and spirit of unity and common understanding between the various member bar associations for the benefit of the public and the profession; to secure a closer coordination of the bar activities of the various member bar associations; to sponsor events and to take positions in the name of the Network and to advance commonly shared views pertaining to the administration of justice, both civil and criminal, pertaining to the delivery of  legal services to the public and bearing upon the public image of the judicial system and of the Bar.
